West Bromich Albion v Norwich City – Saturday Dec 7th

December 5, 2013

After a dismal evening of playing park the bus at Anfield we now turn our attention to West Brom. Last time we played the Baggies we gave them an absolute thumping at Carrow Rd to guarantee another year of Premier League football. Our record at the Hawthawns in recent times has been pretty good, winning two of our three visits there since returning to the top flight. However, getting a result on Saturday depends on how we set ourselves up and if recent away games are to be considered I would be surprised if we could manage anything more than a draw.

Taking of draws, it’s obtaining a single point from games that has West Brom ahead of us in the table, they have won just 3 games from their first 14, drawing 6 times. The Baggies have also won just 1 of their last 7 games. If there ever was a team that we could play on the road and get at with a positive attacking attitude, it’s this lot. So fingers crossed the Hoot changes his tune and puts out a team and shape intent on playing attacking football on Saturday (like during the first half against Palace). Three points would take us above West Brom and place us as high as 13th.

We will be at our home George Keeley’s (address and map up there ^ to the right) for this 10am kick-off, so join us for some banter, beers and Baggie bashing (one can hope).

Snoddy celebrates after scoring against the Baggies at Carrow Rd last term in our 4-0 win.
