Man U v Norwich Sat 2nd march

February 25, 2013

What a cracking result last Saturday. More of the same this week?

United away will be a tougher nut to crack for sure, but who knows!

The game is live at our home George Keeley’s. Doors at 9.45am. See you there!

Norwich City's Kei Kamara (number 16) scores the equaliser against Everton at Carrow Road.

So that’s how he does it. MORE PLEASE!

Friend of the NY Canaries, Neil Adams played for both Everton and City. Clearly he looks much happier in the yellow and green!

Norwich v Spurs Wednesday 30th

January 28, 2013

Listen, the FA Cup is for hopeless romantics (well that’s what I’m telling myself this week, anyway) and not for teams who are looking to survive the Premier League season, bag that 90 million in TV money for 2014 and sign Lionel Messi! (Shhh, boy can dream).

Anyway, whether you care to dwell on the Luton game or not, skip out of work on Wednesday (like I’m going to) and head to Keeley’s where the NY Canaries will be hoping the Hoot can get us back on track – and of course we’ll be rooting for the Hoot with a beer or 6 as Keeley’s is the finest beer bar in….well, this fine City.

What: #RootForTheHoot &  #SmackSpurs

Where: George Keeley’s (map up there ^^^^ to the right >>>)

When: From 2pm

Why: 3 points, boom!

See you there!

Swansea v Norwich Saturday 8th December

December 4, 2012

I was bloody lazy last week, apparently, and forgot to post the details of our meet up at Keeley’s for the Sunderland game *slaps wrist*. Sorry about that!

Anyway, 9 games unbeaten and we are like a steam train rumbling through the vast Premier League countryside (OOF). Next stop Swansea! Can we continue the unbeaten run? You may remember that last year, that other bloke who was in charge at the time pressed the Swans high up the pitch and stifled their passing game from the back. That worked a treat. However, the Hoot is not that other bloke and likes to do things differently, which has been fine and dandy up to now! I should expect more of the same 4-2-3-1 action this weekend and hopefully we can leave Wales with at least a point and maybe all 3.

Between now and then I will mostly be praying to the God, ‘KneeKnackerus’ that he bestows an injury upon Michu. That guy is unbelievable right now.

We will be at Keeley’s for the 10am kick-off so come and join us #RootForTheHoot  followed by a #DrinkToThe Hoot (or 6)

See you there!  Up. The. City!!

I was going to post a picture of a dead swan but didn’t want to upset anyone. So instead, imagine that while gawping at Swansea’s most famous fan (not) wearing a swan, representing the misery the swans will feel after we leave town with 3 points on Saturday.

Everton v Norwich November 24th

November 19, 2012

BOOOM, what a weekend! We are looking unbeatable at the back, 1 goal shipped in 5 games, 6 games unbeaten and the most clean sheets in the Prem. What a difference from the performances at the back earlier in the season. I have to say, Whittaker is becoming a favorite for me, absolutely solid back there.

Anyway, Everton away are next and we will be at the Football Factory (below Legends), 6 west 33rd street, between 5th and Broadway. 10am Kick-Off.

I’ll see you there.

Up the City!

Norwich v Man U

November 15, 2012

This weekend’s game v Man U will be on at Keeley’s. Kick Off is 12.30pm.

Reading Away

November 8, 2012

I hope everyone made it through Sandy and then Athena OK.

Reading away will be on LIVE in NYC at the Football Factory (below Legends, 6 west 33rd between 5th and Broadway) on Saturday. 10am kick-off.

We will be back to normal NY Canaries meet-ups at Keeley’s from the 17th for Manchester United. That kick-off is 12.30pm.

See you then.

Villa Away

October 25, 2012

A nice and early game this Saturday for our first meeting with Paul Lambert, since he decided that the grass is greener in Birmingham. There’s been a lot said in recent weeks and I’m sure the City faithful at Villa Park will be divided on what kind of greeting Lambert should receive come kick-off. Personally I think everyone should just leave it alone and chant Chris Hughton’s name.

What an amazing win last weekend. I was there to enjoy it too. An incredible day. Let’s hope we can carry that form in to Saturday’s game and nab all 3 points.

Anyway, the game will be on at the Football Factory (below Legends), 6 West 33rd Street between Broadway and 5th. Kick-Off 7.30am.

There are a few of us away or unable to attend this week but I’m sure several of the NY Canaries will be there, so pop along and join them.

ROOT FOR THE HOOT!
